Other Characters: N/A
Name: Malware
Series: Ben 10 Omniverse
Appearance: Here, And Here
Age: Age isn't really a problem for a Galvanic Mechamorph, but I'd say he's pretty old.
Gender: Male
Personality:
Before gaining his upgrade, Malware was merely a mutant Galvanic Mechamorph who deperately wanted to be like the others of his kind. However, Azmuth's constant delays caused Malware to grow impatient, believing Azmuth was lying. He also began to resent and evny his kind because of his condition. All this would boil to a head once Malware gained his upgrade.
Once he gained his upgrade, Malware's personality became even worse. To call Malware arrogant would be a grand understatement. He's meglomaniacal. His superiority complex is in the stratosphere and his pride is staggeredly overblown. His ambition will allow him nothing less than total domination. He truly believes that he is superior in every aspect, and will constantly remind you about it. In his view, He's superior because he can abosorb technology instead of upgrading it like the others of his kind. This arrogance is usually his downfall as he overestimates himself adn underestimates his opponents. Despite his arrogance, Malware is aware of his limitations and will retreat if he's outmatched.
Malware is also very intelligent, skilled in technology and knowledgeable in the workings of the Omnitrix. He's capable of forming plans that can last for years, and has been able to keep his plans under the radar for the last five years.
Despite his comical flaws, Malware is very dangerous. A sociopath in every sense of the word, Malware will stop at nothing to see his goals completed, even at the cost of innocent lives. An example of this is when he and his associates test the Nemetrix on Phil. He's also not above fighting dirty to gain the advantage, such as when he threw a gasoline tank at a bus full of civilians to escape from Ben. He even destroyed Ben's favorite form Feedback for no reason than pure and simple spite.
However, behind the mask of arrogance lies someone constantly haunted by his demons. Deep down, Malware is basically a big child looking for the attention of a father that he never felt he properly recieved. Malware always felt that because of his condition, Azmuth never saw him as anything but a failed experiment. This caused him to resent and envy his kind to the point of a sociopathic hate. But this is a side of him that you'll never see unless something big happens.
Backstory:
Malware was born a mutated and incomplete Galvanic Mechamorph on the Mechamorph homeworld Galvan B. His life code interrupted during creation, Malware had the ability to absorb technology instead of upgrading it, destroying it in the process. He was also forced to feed on the energy of other Mechamorphs to survive. Azmuth had promised him a upgrade to help him with his condition but Malware soon grew impatient and angry with Azmuth's numerous delays. That's also when the seeds of resentment against his kind began to form. This would eventually drive Malware come to the Galvan home world Galvan Prime demanding his cure. It was there, he met the boy who would be his greatest adversary: Ben Tennyson. Despite Ben's interference, He kidnapped Azmuth's assistant Albedo and stole Azmuth's prototype cure, a secondary Helix.
Malware took the pair to Galvan B where he forced Albedo to finish the secondary Helix and connect it to the primary Helix. Despite Ben and Max's interference and Albedo's attempt on his life through sabotage, Malware managed to obtain his upgrade, obtaining a form that eliminated his need for energy, while retaining his old ablities. Feeling superior, he attempted to absorb the Omnitrix, but Ben was able to use Diamondhead to protect it and defeat Malware, encasing him in crystal.
An unknown period of time later, Malware escaped confinement and met a Cerebrocrustacean scientist named Dr. Psychobos. The two bonded over a shared hatred of Azmuth, and so a bargain was struck: Malware brings a blueprint of the Omnitrix, and Psychobos constructs a duplicate.
Malware later chased Ben to Earth to get the Omnitrix blueprint. During the battle with Ben, Malware acquired a crude, corrupted and incomplete blueprint of the Omnitrix and brought it to Dr. Psychobos. While Malware had the blueprint and Psychobos could recreate the device they didn't have the DNA samples that gave it it's power.
To this end Dr. Psychobos contacted a Big Game hunter named Khyber to find the DNA samples to give the device its power. During one such outing where a rare species of predator, known as a Psycholeterean which preys on Necrofriggians, was in the Mount Rushmore base, Malware distracted Ben and the plumbers while Khyber obtained the DNA sample. During the fight, he also acquired a Tachyon Cannon, a powerful Plumbers weapon of last resort with the potential to kill off every human within a hundred miles, mutating into a even more powerful form due to his unstable DNA. Ben was able to fight off Malware as Feedback, but the villain got what he came for and retreated.
With their device, dubbed the Nemetrix, completed. The trio used Phil as a test subject for the Nemetrix, however, Phil's mind couldn't handle the feral nature of the device, so instead they attached the device to Khyber's alien hunting dog.
Sometime later, Azmuth, Gwen, Max, and Ben were in an arguement about Ben's overuse of Feedback. During this time, Malware attacked them, wanting to absorb the Omnitrix and destroy Azmuth. During the fight, Malware mangaged to rip Feedback out of the Omnitrix and destroy it. Enraged at the loss of his favorite alien, Ben overloaded him with the Omnitrix, seemingly killing him.
Malware, however, survived and is not seen again for the next five years until he has Khyber distract Ben and Rook while he downloaded the Proto-TRUK's Galvan Security codes. He then meets Ben for the first time in five years. Ben chased Malware through town, but Malware managed to distract him by throwing a gasoline truck at a school bus forcing Ben to let him go to save the students.
Later, Malware and the Faction used the Planetary Defense Codes to infiltrate Galvan Prime, where they obtained the DNA of an extinct preadator called Omnivoracous. Khyber and Psychobos attempted to assassinate Azmuth with this predator, but Azmuth managed to teleport Ben and Rook for assistance. Together, they managed to defeat Psychobos, but the doctor declares that he was just the distraction for Malware to use his powers to corrupt and destroy Galvan B, merging with the planet and scattering his body all over Galvan Prime. His ultimate goal was to corrupt the core of the planet, merging with it and become a living planet to conquer the universe.
With the combined help of Max, Gwen, Kevin, Rook, Blukic, Driba, and Azmuth, Ben managed to stop Malware from assimilating Galvan Prime, restore Galvan B and the Mechamorphs, and defeat Malware once and for all by using Feedback. Turing him to stone and ending his madness.
Malware's canon point is from the end of the two-part episode Showdown. Instead of dying, he ends up back in Ink City.
Powers and Abilities:
Malware has all the traditional powers of a Galvanic Mechamorph. Malware can alter his physical density, allowing him to stretch, bend, and liquify his body in a variety of ways. Malware can fire off pieces of his body to entrap opponents and can control those pieces of his body. His ablilites also allow Malware to regenerate from even the most fatal injury.
Malware also has enough physical strength to fight evenly with Four Arms and Humongosaur, two of Ben's strongest aliens. Like other Mechamorphs, Malware can fire a beam from his singular eye as an offensive measure. Malware's claws are extremely sharp and he has no qualms using them as weapons.
Malware's biggest ability however, is what seperates him from other Mechamorphs. Because of the circumstances of his creation, Malware can absorb tech instead of upgrading it. The size of the device is inconsequential. Once absorbed, Malware can control it as easily as if it were a part of his body. However, the technology in question will crumple to dust. Malware is also skilled at hacking, as demonstrated in Malefactor where he downloaded the Galvan Security codes. His powers are very viral and can corrupt any technology, even technology linked to a planet. If this were to happen, Malware would assimilate and merge with the planet. For game reasons, he won't do that here.
In terms of weakness, Malware is more vulnerable to electrical attacks due to his liquid metallic body. Electromagnetic fields can disrupt him, rendering him unable to keep his shape. Malware's pride is also a weakness as he overestimates himself and underestimates his opponents.
Moral Standing: Despite describing himself as visionary. Malware is an amoral sociopath who will stop at nothing to see his goals accomplished, even at the expense of innocent lives.
Location: My character doesn't really have a location to bring.
Dreams: To take over the universe.
Fears: Feeling inferior
Writing Sample:
Malware slowly opened his singular eye as conciousness returned to him. Compared to the blissful feeling of nothing, the return to life was nothing short of exhausting. As he began the slow, aching climb to his feet, he found himself back in Ink City
Malware then took a few moments to try to collect his thoughts. That's when it all came flooding back, memories of what happened to him, how he died. All of it caused his fist to convulse in anger as his mind focused on one statement: He failed. Wait, no. He didn't fail. He never fails. Everything was perfect! Domination was in his hands! But that insolent brat! He ruined everything! Eventually, Malware's anger proved too great to control as he let out a primal scream and slammed the ground with his fists.
He took a few more moments to calm down. He then began to think on the positives. His plans may have failed, but he survived. For all his bravado, Tennyson could not fully defeat him. This made Malware chuckle. He could work with this. After all, he still had much to see in this city. Maybe he could turn this around.
